Purdue University analytical chemistry professor Dr. Peter Kissinger founded BASi in 1974.  The company’s headquarters are in the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette, Indiana. The company also has a facility in Evansville, Indiana.

Leaders at BASi credit current president & CEO Jacqueline Lemke with a resurgence over the last several years.  According to chairman of BASi’s board of directors, Lemke is spearheading a transformation that is restoring the company’s growth and profitability.  Lemke became president & CEO in 2013.

BASi’s employees represent a key step in the intense, meticulous, and many times years long process of developing new medications that have the potential to improve lives around the world.
